The Step Pyramid behind Kirby's boarding school.
Okay, the creep in the orange shirt didn't really have green glowing eyes, but he was just as ugly and even without him, it's still a really freaky place to be after dark if you're a big chicken like me!

Q3: For 10 points, what type of poison did the bad guys threaten Kirby's horses with? Q4: What part of the bad guy's body did Kirby have to cut open to save his life?

Secret Writing Tip: Creative ideas can hit you at any time. Use a blank page in the back of your homework diary to keep notes of things you'd like to explore later.

Class Project

Look for the tallest building that you can see through your window. Imagine something weird happening up there, like a helicopter rescue, or a bank robbery or even a portal opening to another dimension right above the building. Then write a horror story (or a funny story) about what happens next. Then ask your teacher if you can make a class play about it.

Secret tip: Science and Mathematics often seem boring and repetitive BUT they can be heaps more fun once you learn to think creatively.

Science Experiment

Practice inflating balloons with different amounts of air until you can "conduct surgery" on one with a sharpened straw and let the air out slowly - WITHOUT killing your balloon in a loud explosion. If you have trouble, try filling your balloons with water (with red food colouring for extra effect) and trying to "bleed" it slowly.
