The turtle & fish pond at Kirby's School. Many moons ago, when Anita was a student at this school, the pond used to have trouble staying clean, so a certain student - who shall stay nameless of course hehehe - nipped down to the river with friends for a jar full of fresh duck weed and river guppies and released them at school when nobody was looking. It's been a thriving megatropolis for garden friends ever since (used often now by science students for study as a micro-ecosystem). Even Dr Bones, the school skeleton from the biology lab loves to hang out there during lunch breaks!
(At night, it's also rumoured that he invites his ghostly friends over for a few hours fishing!)

Class Project

Choose your favourite science experiment and write a short story about what happens when it goes completely wrong. Include explosions, time warps or weird creatures if you like, but make sure your story includes descriptions of smells, tastes and sounds as well as what it looks and feels like to your characters.

Secret tip: Science and Mathematics often seem boring and repetitive BUT they can be heaps more fun once you learn to think creatively.

Science Experiment

Practice with different sizes of capacitors to see if you can make a controlled explosion (with the help of your teacher of course!)
