Handy Hint for bonus Question... it involves dribbling.

IMAGE 3: Night vision view looking from the top of the step pyramid back towards the school... Sorry about the image quality on this one. A snake crawled over my foot just as I clicked the camera and it scared the u-know-what out of me! Brown trousers time for sure! I had to bolt home in the dark to change my undies!

Bonus Question: For 50 Points, what game is being played in the gymnasium?

Q2: This school has 2 satellite dishes for communication. (Can u c them?) Kirby passes them in the book to get to what?   Q5: For 10 points, who is Mrs Death? Q4: For 10 points, what buttons did Scott have to push to unlock Dee's mobile phone? Q3: Why didn't Kirby take a torch with her on the way through the scrub to the step pyramid?  Q1: For 20 points, in whose bed did Kirby hide the 3 toads from the science labs?

Secret Writing Tip: Action scenes sound faster if you use very short sentences.

OPTIONAL CLASS PROJECT - Go out into the school grounds and look at all the neighbouring properties. Choose the scariest or most innocent looking house, yard or building and then write a short scary story about a crime that happens there, using your teacher, principal and school gardener as victims, under-cover agents or heroes.

Secret tip: Science and Mathematics are the best sources for creative new writing ideas!

Cool science experiment - Turn your analog watch into a compass by going out into the playground. Using a watch with hands, NOT a digital watch, point the number 12 at the sun and then using a thin twig, paperclip or twist-tie, make a shadow that passes from the number 12 to the number 6. Look at the number half way between 12 and the hour hand - and that will be north.
NOTE: This only works here in the southern hemisphere. The trick in the northern hemispere is to point the hour hand towards the sun and then the direction halfway between 12 and the hour hand is south.
