Razor wire fence into the railway yards at sunset... Ouchhh! Here's the actual spot Kirby, Scott and Dee climbed over the fence to help save the luxury express train. Definitely NOT somewhere you want to be climbing in your school uniform after dark... especially when there's a savage alsation waiting for you on the other side (and you stink like vomit, road-kill and sheep manure!) That's one of the freight trains (on the other side of the fence) that was used to hide the luxury express, by the way. Can't see the Express at all from the outside, can you? ... the sneaky beakers! Fancy trying to hide a ten million dollar train right out there in public!

Hint for the Bonus Q - Look in the student notes at the front of the book)Q4: For 10 points, how much money did the crusaders earn by saving the train?Bonus Question: For 50 points - The story in Tagged by Dead Dogs happens how many weeks BEFORE the events of Crystal Coffin?Q1: For 20 points, name two things that Scott brought with him inside the backpack.Q3: For ten points, What's the name of Kirby's crazy horse?Q5: For 10 points, where did Scott hide his motorbike?Q2: For 10 Points, what was watching the Crusaders up here?

Did You Know?

Soon after "Tagged..." was first published, the railway guards made sure nobody could get over the fence at this spot by tearing down that weedy vine at the right of the picture, shifting the old shed that used to be close to the fence and taking away the concrete blocks that vandals used to scramble over to break in. Co-incidence perhaps? Or a case of kid's fiction helping to point out problems in the world. I'd like to hope it's the latter! ;)

Secret Writing Tip: Creative ideas can hit you at any time. Use a blank page in the back of your homework diary to keep notes of things you'd like to explore later.

Class Project

Ask your teacher if you can write a short story - as a class - about someone getting sprung in a place that makes them look guilty when they're not. Vote to see if you should make it either scary or hilarious or both, but everyone in your class has to contribute at least one sentence or idea. Ask
your teacher to send it to me - or any other creative writing idea from the virtual book tours - and you'll win a free book or webchat for your school.

Secret tip: Science and Mathematics often seem boring and repetitive BUT they can be heaps more fun once you learn to think creatively.

Science Experiment

Ask your science teacher to show you how a capacitor works with a lightbulb and copper wires, then do the experiment Kirby was supposed to do with her equipment BEFORE she crept into the men's toilets.
